Kathy Kozlov joined the North York team at Recruiting in Motion in 2013 as a dedicated recruiter specializing in temporary staffing. Having graduated from York University with an Honours B.A in Psychology and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from George Brown College, Kathy has always had a vast interest in human thought and behaviour. With her previous experience as a full-cycle recruiter, Kathy has developed an eye for finding talent as well as a unique approach in assessing the qualities and personalities of all her candidates. For Kathy, recruiting is about “reading between the lines” and gaining an in-depth understanding of the various skills one has obtained from the past, and what they have to offer for the future.
With her innate passion for guidance (she once dreamed of being a guidance councillor or a relationship therapist), Kathy is always there to provide any suggestions; ranging from how to write an effective resume, to how to be more confident in an interview. With this give-and-take approach, Kathy manages to build strong and long-lasting relationships with her candidates.
- When you ask Kathy what her background is – don’t expect a simply answer! Born to Russian and Jewish parents in Lithuania, and having migrated to Israel and later on to Canada in the short span of 9 years – Kathy likes to describe herself as multi-continental.
- When she was younger, Kathy developed a love for arts and crafts passed onto her by her talented grandma who taught her how to compose drawings out of dry flowers (her grandma still continues this unique form of art which has been showcased in galleries and international competitions around the world). Over the years, Kathy has channeled her creativity through numerous art classes and even dabbled in fashion and design!
- Today, Kathy appreciates the simple things in life; spending time with family and friends, taking on new cooking adventures, and travelling to new places. Most of all, she enjoys cuddling with her Husky pup named Tima.
