Sean Kogan is co-founder and Managing Partner of Recruiting in Motion and RIM Franchise Corporation. Sean has a career history that includes close to 20 years in the field of recruiting. He is responsible for developing both companies’ corporate strategy and growth plans. Sean prides himself on developing strong, lasting relationships with clients, co-workers and franchisees. He enjoys hiring, training and interacting with the amazing people that work with him. In addition, he has been known to manage most of the technical issues that surface in a busy office but is not above changing printer cartridges, washing dishes and he happens to be unusually proficient at assembling boardroom chairs.
Prior to co-founding RIM, Sean spent over a decade working at an international recruiting firm managing large teams. He developed extensive hands-on knowledge of general management, and finance and accounting functions having worked in senior roles at various Fortune 500 companies. He also owned and managed a successful travel and marketing company.
Sean holds an MBA degree, with a specialization in Accounting, from the University of Toronto, and an Undergraduate Economics Degree from McGill University in Montreal. He lives in Toronto with his wife, three children and their dog.
- Sean recently appeared on the television show “America’s Funniest Home Videos”. Actually, it was just his hands that were seen in the video. His dog was the main character.
- When Sean was younger, he was quite entrepreneurial and performed stints selling vacuum cleaners, painting homes, and driving a truck. He also spent many summers working in a carnival-games booth on the Boardwalk of the Jersey Shore south of Atlantic City. He feels that this experience prepared him for interacting with the wide range of individuals that he currently speaks to on a daily basis.
- Sean embraces technology and is one of the resident techno-geeks at Recruiting in Motion. It is believed that when his kids were born, he tried to convince his wife to give them each a name and a password.
