To our valued colleagues, clients, and candidates: The following is an excerpt of a letter provided to Recruiting in Motion employees in light of the recent anti-racism rallies and protests throughout North America. Dear RIM Team,
Given the recent events happening across North America, we wanted to reach out to all of you and offer our support. RIM was created on a foundation of welcoming diversity and inclusion, and we pride ourselves in providing a safe and welcoming space for all RIM representatives throughout the organization.
As a team, we stand together in these moments to support equality, human rights, and mutual respect. Each day, we continue to educate ourselves, learn, and grow.

Marie was born and raised in the Nation’s Capital and has spent the vast majority of her Sales and Recruitment career providing solutions to Non-Profits, Crown Corps, and Private Sector Clients. She enjoys building long-term, trusting relationships with candidates and clients alike.

Marie believes in providing a full-service solution to everyone she meets. As such, she has become a Full Cycle Recruiter, a Business Partner for Hire and a Job Search Coach
Fun/Interesting Facts:
Marie can solve the Rubix Cube in under two minutes, and likes to solve math problems for fun!
She is an avid athlete and competitor. She thrives on new challenges and adores healthy competition. You can catch her at the gym, on the volleyball court, or strapped to a snowboard or wakeboard, in her spare time.
Rugby is one of Marie’s greatest life passions. With her rugby career lasting more than 15 years, she feels privileged to have been able to represent her city, province and even her country, proudly. A lower back injury ended her career in 2012, but her passion and love for the game will never die.
Crystal grew up in a predominantly agricultural community in Western Quebec, that she still has strong ties to today. After post-secondary graduation Crystal spent time with the federal government practicing social work and law enforcement. This eventually led to a career shift where she fell into a role within the staffing industry, now 10 years later the rest is history. She has diligently worked her way up the ranks from Operations Support to Recruitment. She specializes in the recruitment of Administration, Accounting Operations and Property Management. She continues to grow and expand her skills and knowledge while pursuing her passion for helping people, problem-solving and ensuring the smooth day to day operations of the office.
Crystal has the unique ability to understand and anticipate the needs of candidates and clients alike based on her years of hands on experience in these roles. Her straight-forward, “can do” attitude and approach to life, combined with her sheer determination and relentless “country girl” work ethic will no doubt benefit her colleagues, candidates and clients alike.
Fun/Interesting Facts:
Crystal will always win the award for the most interesting and entertaining real life stories and experiences, stemming from everyday life, to her farm and horse show adventures which take her around the globe. They are a true favourite in the Ottawa office.
Crystal and her family pursue their passion of Clydesdale Horses (yes, the iconic “Budweiser Horses”). Often her time away from work is referred as “showcation”, 9 times out of 10 it is horse related and involves early mornings and late nights. This is not what many people would consider R&R.
Crystal enjoys spending as much time as possible with her many nieces and nephews, whom share the same love for agriculture and exhibiting horses. She and her family travel across Canada and the United States to world class competitions with their 6 horse hitch of Clydesdales. She is proud to carry on the family tradition being a 4th generation Show-Woman
Adam is a Talent Sourcing intern with Recruiting in Motion – Ottawa. Born and raised in Montreal, Adam recently completed his second year at Concordia University in the Political Science Co-Op Program. Having worked for years in the telecommunications industry in sales, Adam developed a love and appreciation for helping others with complex issues, and a passion for building long-lasting relationships. As a Talent Sourcing intern, Adam is able to quickly connect with candidates, and discover what truly motivates them in an effort to find them that perfect role.
Fun/Interesting Facts:
Adam speaks three languages fluently (English, French and Hebrew) and wants to learn even more!
Adam played hockey for over a decade, but has also played rugby, football, softball, and was a certified lifeguard.
Adam has always had a very entrepreneurial mindset. When he was in elementary school, he found himself in the principal’s office for running a sports card business from his school desk.
Julia grew up in Ottawa, spending much of her childhood at an equestrian farm in Wendover, Ontario. She spent her twenties in the States, specializing in company development and client management. Julia returned to Canada in 2019, finishing her degree in Psychology from Carleton University with her undergraduate project in Human Factor and Organizational Ergonomics of the workplace system.
For the last year and a half, Julia has been working in Marketing and Communications for RiM, gaining valuable industry knowledge; transitioning to a Recruitment Consultant in 2022. Her experience and education facilitate the ability to understand what intrinsically motivates each job seeker, spending the needed time with them to ensure the role presented matches their individual goals.
Consistently putting her best foot forward, Julia is eager to build lasting relationships, advocating for both clients and candidates to provide the opportunity to succeed through the realization of their potential.
Fun/Interesting Facts:
Julia has been an equestrian athlete for most of her life, competing across the U.S. and Europe. She was an Ontario Youth Individual Silver and Team Gold Medalist. She still has horses today.

Julia loves a good pun – why are bicycles always exhausted? Because they are just two tired.
Emily is a Recruitment Consultant at Recruiting in Motion and is super excited to be one of the newest members of the team. Born and raised in Ottawa, Emily has a passion for lifelong learning and prides herself in providing the ultimate customer experience for job seekers and clients. Emily graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sexuality Studies in 2016. Combining her love for education and her people oriented personality with her previous management and customer service experience has led her to the wonderful world of Human Resources. In 2021, Emily completed the Human Resources Graduate Certificate program at Algonquin College and has now begun a career in recruiting where she can leverage her enthusiasm and compassion.

Emily is an avid music lover and concert attendee! When she is not working, you can be sure to find her at a local music festival or music venue singing and dancing the night away.

Emily is a nature lover and loves being outdoors! Hiking, camping, kayaking, biking, watching sunsets – any excuse to get outside really.
Tajwar Wain is a Talent Sourcer at Recruiting in Motion. She is thrilled to be one of the newest members of the growing team. Having recently migrated from Pakistan, thousands of miles away from family, Ottawa is Tajwar’s new home. Her passion is to help people achieve the best versions of themselves. In pursuit of this passion, soon after her BBA from Lahore School of Economics, Tajwar started her first entrepreneurial venture, running a day-care, which she managed to expand into a preschool, in less than a year. The day-care aimed to relieve the academic professionals from their child-care responsibilities, so they can be out in the field, disseminating knowledge and preparing the workforce of the future. To expand her portfolio, Tajwar also pursued and completed her MBA in Finance and Human Resources and has worked in public affairs and communications, as well. And now, at Recruiting in Motion, her pursuit of passion continues as a Talent Sourcer. She is enabling clients and talented job seekers to achieve their own excellence. She aims to leverage her learnings as an entrepreneur and her ability to cultivate strong relationships, to assist with finding the right fit for companies and candidates alike.

Carlos is a Senior Recruitment Consultant with Recruiting in Motion – Ottawa. Carlos comes from a Hispanic background, immigrating to Canada and settling in Ottawa during his high school years. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Integrated Science degree at Carleton University.
Starting his career as a Recruitment Specialist in 2007, Carlos helped the company grow their sales force across Canada and the US. Within a short period, he was promoted to Assistant Manager and then Manager of the Centralized Recruitment department, a position he held until the company closed.
Carlos’ next opportunity was as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Generalist with a global Software Company. His role included sourcing and recruiting candidates internationally for various roles. Carlos specializes in IT recruitment of developers, system implementation experts, project managers, technical support specialists, functional consultants, pre-sales consultants, and sales account managers.
Carlos is easy-going, friendly, loves to work with people and delivers positive results. He gets a lot of satisfaction seeing his candidates get their employment offers, starting the job, and having long successful careers within the organization.
Fun/Interesting Facts:
Carlos loves spending his free time surrounded by family and friends, socializing, sharing a good meal and wine, or enjoying a good BBQ during the summer.
Carlos is also an avid sports follower, especially soccer; he is a big fan of Real Madrid, Brazil, Spain, and Argentina.
Funny story. While in high school and new to Canada, Carlos was offered a try out for the high school Football Team. Not realizing Canadian Football isn’t soccer, he showed up to the practice in his soccer gear! Never experiencing an NFL or CFL game, Carlos quickly adapted to the new rules and made the school team a starting Cornerback!
Michaela is a Recruitment Consultant for Recruiting in Motion’s Ottawa office. She grew up in the East end of Ottawa and spent most of her childhood on a basketball court.
Michaela is a Nipissing University graduate with a Double Major in Social Welfare & Child and Family Studies. After graduating from post-secondary, Michaela worked in the administrative space for a few years. She has now transitioned into the staffing industry where she specializes in the recruitment of Administration, Property Management, Human Resources and Marketing.
She has spent majority of her life playing elite level basketball. After playing at the University level, she decided to shift her love for the game into a coaching role where she has been Assistant Coaching a U16 boys’ team with the Gloucester Cumberland Basketball Association. She also spends her weekends as a Weekend Manager working at the Ronald McDonald House where she gets to create special relationships with several different families and interact with children of all ages.
Fun Facts:
– Went to Arusha, Tanzania for several weeks to volunteer teaching at an elementary school
– Michaela will always have an athletic/competitive mindset and lifestyle. When she is not working or coaching, you can find her in either a GoodLife gym or at her kickboxing gym
– She loves to bake (especially cookies & brownies)
Brad is a recruitment consultant for Recruiting in Motion’s Ottawa office. Brad’s roots are in Glengarry county an hour East of Ottawa. He began his journey in the employment industry working for a branch of Employment Ontario in a business development capacity. Since joining RIM, Brad has further developed his expertise in Finance & Accounting recruitment, as well as Human Resources, and Engineering. Brad spends his time understanding what aspects of employment are most important to individual job-seekers, including roles and responsibilities, cultural fit, and opportunities for advancement, among others.
Brad has worked with a wide range of business in both the private and public sector and takes great pride in the diversity of his organizational portfolio. From a start-up to a large multinational corporation, and everything in between; Brad goes above and beyond to meet their specific needs. He is always eager to take on a new challenge, and loves helping people achieve their most ambitious goals.
While Brad has a keen eye for talent, his ability to read people and situations have been crucial determinants of success. His expertise lies in his ability to build long-term relationships that sustain both employee, and employer satisfaction.
Fun/Interesting Facts:
An avid sports fan, Brad spends every Saturday night watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, and is mostly stationary on Sunday when the NFL is on.
Brad is a huge supporter of the Glengarry Highland Games, having been to every edition of the event over the past 20+ years.
While Brad is proud of his Irish and Scottish heritage, he blames his ancestors for his unique ability to obtain a sunburn at any time of year. Who gets a sunburn at an outdoor hockey tournament in February?
Tara recently joined RiM as an eager Recruitment Consultant. After completing her bachelor’s degree from University of New Brunswick Saint John in 2016, Tara moved to the Canada’s capital. Over the past 15 years she has had an impressive career in sales and business development. Her success has been driven by her natural ability to build & nurture relationships, offering transparency while priding herself on delivering the best client experience with each engagement.
Being part of the Recruiting in Motion team, Tara is passionate to help others find their purposeful career and assist clients in finding great talent for their organizations in this changing labor market.

Born and raised in the west-end of Ottawa, Pauline is excited to be one of the newest members of the Recruiting in Motion Team!
After completing her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the University of Guelph, her passion for meeting new people and traveling determined her next step of living and working abroad in Ireland and Scotland for two years. After thoroughly enjoying the Irish/Scottish lifestyle and traveling as much of Europe as she could, Pauline returned home and took that passion for meeting people and applied it to her newfound career as a Technical Recruiter in 2013.
Since then, Pauline has applied her love for helping people and customer service to her job. Her primary focus in the last 9 years has been recruiting variety of IT related technical and functional consulting roles across the entire IT portfolio. Pauline looks to leverage her experience in IT recruitment, and exceptional interpersonal skills, to broaden her network across the Marketing, Communications, and Human Resources industries, while maintaining her pulse on Ottawa’s technology sector. Being a Professional Recruiter allows her to connect with new people daily and challenges her to get creative when trying to find a diamond in the rough.

Pauline has traveled to 11 different countries and cannot wait to continue seeing as much of the world as possible
She is very creative and can take on most art projects, but especially loves painting and drawing portraits
Loves to cook! She will try any food once and is continuously experimenting with different recipes. Among friends and family is she is known for her homemade pizza and charcuterie/cheese boards!
Sari Cantor is a Partner with Recruiting in Motion – Ottawa. Sari has spent 20+ years engaging people across professional portfolios and working with companies to ensure they attract the best talent. Beginning her career with a large multi-national recruitment firm, Sari took her skills and network and launched Recruiting in Motion – Ottawa in 2013. Clients and candidates in Ottawa have come to appreciate Sari as a subject matter expert in all areas of talent acquisition. She has been able to assist many local companies (private and public) through their hiring and retention strategies.
Being born and raised in Ottawa, Sari has a unique understanding of her local market from compensation grids to employment statistics to what “makes the National Capital Region special”. Kelvin is a recruitment consultant at Recruiting In Motion. After obtaining a BA in Political Science at Carleton University, he started his career in sales and over the years has expanded his experiences as a sales leader, business consultant, motivational speaker and recruitment consultant.
This unique blend of business experiences has given him the ability to become a strategic talent matcher and career growth expert in the areas of Sales, Executive Search, Finance and Accounting and Technology.

Kelvin is a family man! He is married to his beautiful wife and they are proud parents of three amazing kids.
Kelvin is a licensed minister that has served in a variety of youth and young adults initiatives throughout North America. Andrew d’Eca is a Partner at Recruiting in Motion Vancouver. An accomplished Recruitment Specialist and skilled Headhunter, Andrew has been staffing Metro Vancouver’s leading organizations since 1997.
A respected and networked recruitment specialist with a proven ability for delivering exceptional talent, Andrew has extensive knowledge of full cycle recruitment, human resources consulting, business operations and recruiting to build a healthy culture.
Andrew’s success has been built over his 20+ years of providing permanent, contract, temporary and executive staffing with clients ranging from small business to large multinationals including Non-Profits, Government and a complete lineup of Private and Public organizations across all sectors and industries.

Fun/Interesting Facts
When Andrew first arrived in BC in 1988 he got himself a dual mountain ski pass for Whistler / Blackcomb and quickly landed himself the nickname Checkers amongst the locals! Reason being is whenever he took on a Black Diamond bump run, he often suffered a major crash and would report seeing Checkers to the medics as opposed to Stars! Now when he walks down Whistler Village some 30 years later, he still has old contacts shouting out to him as Checkers!
Andrew loves his motorcycles and the open road. He spends about 8 months of the year riding his Harley Davidson Road Glide as his regular commuter from Langley to Downtown Vancouver. His clients love it when he shows up on his HOG for meetings!
